Develop the precision, decision-making, and situational awareness required to operate confidently under IFR conditions and in complex operational environments.

The EASA Instrument Rating (IR) takes your flying skills to the next level and develops the management skills required for professional operations. Complete your training in a highly efficient, structured environment designed for ambitious pilots.
With guidance from your personal Aviation Coach, you study the theory through our digital learning ecosystem, including video streaming tools, interactive course material and progress tracking. Practical training runs in parallel and is fully scenario-based, combining advanced simulator sessions with training on modern glass cockpit aircraft.
PBN procedures, professional EFB use and real-world IFR decision-making are fully integrated throughout the program. Build the confidence, precision and situational awareness to operate safely in IMC and across complex airspace.

At your service.
In IFR training, every detail matters. Thanks to streamlined procedures, clear syllabi, and professional briefing and debriefing tools, you benefit from the same high-quality training experience every time: clear, predictable, and efficient.
Reliable structure. Outstanding results.
The Instrument Rating training consists of 4 phases, allowing the theoretical training to be combined with the practical flight training, or completed separately depending on your schedule and availability.
If you choose the integrated pathway, the average training duration is approximately 12 months. It is also possible to complete the theoretical phase first and continue with the practical training afterward.
The program includes a balanced combination of simulator sessions and flight training with an instructor, fully focused on precision, IFR procedures, and operational flying skills.

Whether you choose a gradual start or dive in fully from day one, your training is tailored to your goals and schedule.
Our Instrument Rating (IR(A)) Programme is offered as a transparent all-in package, allowing you to fully focus on your training and preparation for both the theoretical and practical examinations.
The package includes interactive IR(A) iBooks, access to our IPCA Video Streaming App, Distance Learning tools, classroom brush-up weekends, simulator training, aircraft training flights, briefing sessions, and a wide range of digital resources that support you throughout the entire programme.
