Flying from Day One
Your training begins in Antwerp with an intensive program combining ground school, full-motion simulator sessions and flight training on glass-cockpit Cessna Skyhawks. The focus is on mastering fundamentals, flight maneuvers, procedures and checklists.

You travel to California to further develop your flying skills.
You learn to master take-offs and landings and train for simulated emergency procedures. After this phase, you’ll be ready for your first solo flight.

02VFR Cross Country
During this phase you complete your first cross-country flights, followed by solo navigation flights to destinations such as Palm Springs, Borrego, Blythe and Needles. This stage concludes with your first practical flight tests.

A taste of real airline flying! You alternate between the roles of Captain and First Officer while navigating the busy LAX airspace. Experience challenging approaches into Las Vegas, Catalina and Big Bear - an unforgettable experience.

Flying the twin-engine Diamond DA42 Twin Star, you experience higher speed and performance. You are introduced to instrument flying and learn how to safely navigate through clouds and low visibility. At the same time, you continue completing the ATPL airline theory training.

During this phase, the focus is on recognising and preventing “upset” situations (such as extremely high or low pitch attitudes). You will learn the latest recovery techniques and how to respond effectively under stressful conditions.

In the final phase, you step into the role of an airline pilot in training. You apply all the skills you have learned while flying an ultra-modern I-JET and operating as part of a realistic airline environment. Our airline pilot instructors coach you to the highest professional standards. You graduate with the new industry standard: an APS/MCC certificate.

Passionate about teaching? Apply for the IPCA Instructor Recruitment and earn your place in the Flight Instructor Bootcamp. After successfully completing this intensive training, you can start working as a full-time flight instructor in Antwerp or California.
